As supplies of hand sanitizers, paracetamol, and face masks sell out, and we are all furiously scrubbing our hands and avoiding close contact with people, there is another area we seem to have forgotten about as we try to stop the spread of COVID-19, commonly known as the coronavirus.

We’ve developed a four-step health and safety recommendation guide to making sure you keep headsets clean and can run successful VR training while minimising risk.
Four-step health and safety recommendation guide

We deliver virtual reality (VR) training using headsets, which is why we wanted to share best practices for cleaning these headsets after use so you can stop the spread of germs (and rest assured that the headset you use will be clean).

We’ve developed a four-step health and safety recommendation guide to making sure you keep headsets clean and can run successful VR training while minimising risk.

Here are the steps:

  • Clean VR headsets after each use with alcoholic wet wipes
  • Focus on cleaning the soft, breathable, leader padding
  • Use a cotton bag to protect the headset
  • Store the headsets in their original packaging
Best practices to keep your headsets in optimum condition

There are also some best practices you should follow to keep your headsets in optimum condition:

  • Do not use your system if any part is broken or damaged.
  • Do not attempt to repair any part of your system yourself. Repairs should only be made by an ANET360 authorized servicer.
  • To avoid damage to your headset do not expose them to moisture, high humidity, high concentrations of dust or airborne materials, temperatures outside their operating range or direct sunlight.
  • To avoid damage, keep your headset, charger, cables, and accessories away from pets.

We hope you’ve found this advice useful, but if you have any questions about any part of the headset cleaning and maintenance procedure, please get in touch - support@anet360.com
